About The Role
Valto is seeking a talented IT Application Developer to join our dynamic team based in Channahon, IL.
Reporting directly to the IT Director, this role is pivotal in supporting, configuring, and enhancing the company's core business systems, with a primary focus on the ERP system (IBM iSeries/Infor EA).
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, sales, and finance departments to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and develop innovative solutions using modern development tools such as ASP.NET/C#, SharePoint, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Additionally, the role involves leveraging AI development, automation, and data-driven reporting to optimize business operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, complemented by coursework or practical experience in business systems analysis and application development.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role—such as ERP support, business systems analyst, or application developer—is required, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Candidates should demonstrate strong business analysis capabilities, project management skills, and familiarity with application development tools like Microsoft SQL Server, Power Automate, .NET, and Fabric.
Experience supporting or configuring IBM iSeries/Infor ERP systems and working with manufacturing control systems (such as Wonderware and Recipe Management Systems) is highly desirable.
Additionally, knowledge of AI-assisted development tools, data privacy, security practices, and responsible AI implementation will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders across manufacturing, sales, and finance to gather and document business requirements, analyze current- and future-state business processes, and translate business needs into functional specifications for system solutions.Support and administer the ERP system (IBM iSeries/Infor EA), including configuration, master data maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing end-user support.
Coordinate ERP upgrades, patches, and regression testing to ensure system stability and performance.Lead project management efforts for business systems and application development projects, adhering to IT project methodologies and delivery timelines to ensure timely and successful implementation.Design, develop, and support internal and external applications such as SharePoint sites, EDI integrations, Power Automate workflows, and other automation tools to streamline business processes.Provide support for Manufacturing Control Systems, including Wonderware and Recipe Management Systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation within the manufacturing environment.Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation technologies to accelerate development cycles, testing, documentation, and reporting across various departments, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
