Position: Automation Industrial Engineer
Location: Dayton, OH (on-site)
Duration: 1 year contact + extensions and potential for direct hire
Pay Rate: $40-50/hr
Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Automotive manufacturing experience.Material automation, logistics automation, or warehouse automation projects.Labor planning, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.Experience supporting automation solution development from concept through implementation.Familiarity with simulation, digital manufacturing, or digital twin technologies.Exposure to controls systems, industrial networking, robotics integration, or automated material handling equipment.Experience collaborating with automation suppliers, system integrators, or equipment manufacturers.Experience using data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Insight Global is looking for an Automation Industrial Engineer in Dayton, OH.
This is a great opportunity for an Industrial Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience who enjoys solving problems and improving plant operations through automation.
In this role, you'll analyze material flow, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and support the deployment of automation technologies such as AMRs, AGVs, AFTs, and other automated material handling systems to ensure parts are delivered efficiently to operators on the plant floor.
The team is looking for someone with strong Industrial Engineering fundamentals, including labor planning, time studies, process improvement, and data analysis, who can partner with plant teams, suppliers, and engineers to develop and implement automation solutions.
This is a highly analytical, data-driven role focused on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and supporting an OEM's automation initiatives.
