Lead Software Engineer | Remote (UK) | Up to £110,000 I'm working with a SaaS business that is growing its engineering function and looking for a Lead Software Engineer to guide the build of its core product. What you'll do: Lead and coach engineers while still writing codeHelp decide how the product is designed and builtDeliver features from front end to back endConnect the product with external services through APIsImprove how code gets tested and releasedUse AI coding tools as part of your daily work, with the chance to add AI capabilities to the productRaise the bar on code qualityPartner with the product and UX teams to make sure what gets built works for customers What you'll bring: Experience leading or mentoring engineers5+ years' experience with Node/TypeScript plus GoSolid experience with MySQL (similar relational databases considered)Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot in your daily work, the judgement to know when their output needs a closer look, and the confidence to help other engineers get the most from themHands-on experience deploying to a cloud platform and managing infrastructure with TerraformExperience running applications in containers using Docker or Kubernetes If you're a Lead Engineer, Tech Lead or Senior Engineer ready to step up please apply and I will reach out if your profile is a good fit.
