DataFleet LLC is an early-stage trucking technology company building a cloud-based fleet operations, compliance, and safety platform for small and mid-sized motor carriers.
The platform helps carriers manage fleet assets, driver records, trips, settlements, documents, safety inspections, reporting, and AI-assisted compliance workflows in one system.
DataFleet is preparing for continued platform development, customer onboarding, and future commercial expansion.
We are seeking a Full-Stack / Platform Engineer to support the next stage of product development.
The role may begin as a contract or part-time position, with potential to expand based on customer growth, funding, and business needs.
Responsibilities include:
Improve and maintain the DataFleet web application and platform modules.Support backend workflows for fleet assets, drivers, trips, settlements, documents, and reports.Help improve safety and compliance features, including inspection workflows and audit records.Assist with AI-assisted inspection workflow improvements and human-review processes.Support database structure, queries, reporting, exports, and operational dashboards.Improve performance, security, reliability, and user experience.Troubleshoot bugs and support customer-requested platform improvements.Assist with preparing the platform for paid customer onboarding and commercial use.Work with the founder on product roadmap priorities and implementation tasks.Qualifications:
Experience with full-stack web application development.Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.Experience with backend APIs, databases, and cloud-based applications.Ability to work independently in an early-stage startup environment.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Interest in logistics, trucking, compliance, fleet operations, or transportation technology is a plus.Preferred skills:
Supabase, PostgreSQL, or similar database platforms.React, Next.js, Vite, or similar web frameworks.API integrations and automation workflows.Cloud deployment and production application support.Reporting, dashboards, document workflows, or operational software.AI, computer vision, or image-processing workflow experience is a plus.Mobile app or driver-facing workflow experience is a plus.Compensation
Estimated full-time salary range: $115,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
This range is intended to align with DataFleet’s projected compensation for the Senior Full-Stack / Platform Engineer role in the company’s business plan.
Contract or part-time arrangements may also be considered during the early-stage development period, depending on candidate availability, funding, customer growth, and scope of work.
