Creideas are partnered with a fast-growing SaaS client who are looking to add a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to the team on a permanent basis.
Not only does tis role give you the opportunity to blend Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows sys admin, containerised compute, networking, and data centre operations expertise, but also take ownership of their internal data centre environment, as well as contribute to their cloud environment too.
Collaboration is key, so you’ll be in regular communication with SRE, Cyber, Network & Software teams, ensuring their 24x7 market facing environment is continuously running smoothly.
You’ll also prepare, review and execute changes, troubleshoot issues, and improve the platform through automation and documentation.
What will you do as a Linux Infrastructure Engineer?
Continuously manage and improve Ubuntu fleets in production (CentOS, RedHat operating experience also useful)Take ownership of data centre ops, racking & stacking, cabling, power planning, server installations, vendor coordination, etcManage LXD/LXC and some Docker container platforms (no hypervisors or VM stacks)Chef automation for config managementIaC using Terraform for AWSAct as a key responder to infrastructure incidents/issues, covering containers, networks, storage, systems, etc)Collaborate with Network Engineers for changes, whilst also performing network ops on switches and firewalls
