We're looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to join our team in Brisbane or Hobart, where you'll play a critical role in strengthening our cyber security capability and supporting key transformation initiatives. Reporting to Head of Information Security, you'll help protect the systems and infrastructure that underpin our business and customer experience. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional who enjoys hands-on engineering, continuous improvement and solving complex technical challenges. You'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining and optimising security controls across both on-premises and cloud environments, helping ensure our systems remain secure, resilient and compliant. Key Responsibilities Include Implementing and managing security technologies including Microsoft security solutions, Azure Sentinel, Defender Suite, Darktrace and Palo Alto firewalls.Maintaining and enhancing security configurations across Windows, Linux and Azure environments.Supporting vulnerability management and remediation activities across infrastructure and applications.Assisting with identity and access management controls, including privileged access management.Working closely with Technology teams to strengthen security controls and embed best practice into day-to-day operations.Contributing to incident response, governance, audit and compliance activities aligned to frameworks such as NIST and Essential Eight.Can work form either our Brisbane or Hobart office locations. What You'll Bring You'll be a technically capable security professional who combines strong infrastructure knowledge with a passion for cyber security. You'll Ideally Bring Experience in systems administration and security engineering within complex technology environments.Hands-on experience managing Windows, Linux and Microsoft Azure environments.Knowledge of network security technologies and firewall administration, ideally with Palo Alto products.Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST and Essential Eight.Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert or equivalent.A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
