Our work includes e-commerce platforms, inventory management systems, customer portals, and quoting engines that turn a manual, hours-long pricing process into an automated one. Our clients range from small local businesses to established industrial manufacturers. We are a small team based in Cincinnati. About the Role As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to both new development and the ongoing maintenance of software we have already delivered to clients. You will be assigned real features and fixes, build them, and see them go live. This role runs [January through April 2027], [15 to 30] hours per week, with a schedule that works around your classes. What You Will Do - Build full-stack features for client web applications, from the database to the user interface - Maintain and improve existing client software, including bug fixes, performance improvements, dependency updates, and small feature requests - Develop parts of an inventory management system, including user permissions, stock tracking, change history, and reporting dashboards - Work on e-commerce storefronts connected to Shopify, including automated pricing and order syncing - Build and maintain client websites and customer-facing portals - Integrate third-party APIs and services - Monitor deployed applications and help resolve production issues - Write tests and take part in code reviews About You - Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field - Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript - Experience with React or another modern frontend framework - Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases - Experience with Git and pull request workflows - Uses AI coding tools to work faster, and can explain and debug everything they submit Nice to Have - Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL - Experience deploying applications to Vercel, Google Cloud, or AWS - Experience with Shopify, e-commerce, or payment integrations - Built a project using an LLM API - Personal projects built from scratch Our Stack - Frontend: React and Next.js with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, server-side rendering and static generation for SEO-driven sites - Backend: Next.js API routes and server actions, Node.js services, Supabase Edge Functions for background and scheduled jobs - Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL), including Row Level Security for role-based access, Supabase Auth, and Supabase Storage for file delivery - Infrastructure: Google Cloud Run for containerized services, AWS (including GovCloud for regulated client environments), Docker, Vercel for frontend hosting - E-commerce: Shopify in a headless setup using the Storefront API and Admin API, with webhooks for order and inventory syncing - Data and Integrations: Live market pricing data feeds, REST APIs, webhook-driven automations between client systems - AI: LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) for document analysis and quoting workflows, AI-assisted development with Claude Code and similar tools - Tooling: GitHub for version control and code review, CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment What You Will Get - $18 to $22 per hour, based on experience - A flexible schedule built around your classes - Production work you can show in your portfolio - Consideration for part-time or contract work after the internship Interview Process 1.
