Interclean Group is seeking an experienced National Business Development Manager to lead the acquisition of major new customers and strategic partnerships across Australia's healthcare, aged care and facilities management sectors.
This is a senior, hands-on commercial role for an accomplished business development professional who can identify significant market opportunities, engage senior decision-makers, develop compelling solutions and personally drive complex opportunities from first conversation through to commercial agreement.
You won't simply inherit a territory and maintain accounts.
You will help us determine where we should grow, which organisations we should pursue, how we should approach them and how we convert those opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.

The Interclean Group
The Opportunity
Reporting into Interclean's senior leadership and working closely with the broader Revenue, Marketing, Managed Services, Operations and Technology teams, you will take ownership of developing major new-business opportunities nationally.
Your focus will be on building long-term commercial relationships with organisations where Interclean can deliver meaningful operational, financial and service improvements.
This includes health networks, hospitals, aged-care groups, major facilities management organisations, outsourced service providers and other complex multi-site customers.
The position is ideally based in Sydney, with flexibility between our Mosman Innovation Hub, Seven Hills operations and working remotely, however as a National position requiring interstate travel, other capital cities may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
National Business Development
Develop and execute a national business development plan aligned with Interclean's growth strategy.Identify and prioritise high-value target organisations, markets and strategic opportunities.Build and maintain a strong qualified pipeline of new national and enterprise-level opportunities.Develop account-entry strategies for major prospective customers and industry groups.Personally lead key opportunities from initial engagement through discovery, proposal, negotiation and contract.Strategic Relationships
Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across healthcare, aged care and facilities management.Engage confidently with executives, procurement teams, operational leaders, facility managers, infection prevention teams and other key stakeholders.Understand customers' operational challenges and translate those needs into commercially viable Interclean solutions.Develop long-term strategic partnerships rather than transactional supplier relationships.Complex Solution Selling
Present the complete Interclean proposition across products, implementation, training, auditing, managed services and digital technology.Lead customer discovery meetings, site assessments, presentations, demonstrations and commercial workshops.Develop professional proposals, business cases and tailored solutions for complex and multi-site customers.Contribute to major tenders, RFPs and national procurement opportunities.Negotiate commercially sustainable agreements that deliver value for both the customer and Interclean.Commercial & Pipeline Management
Take accountability for agreed new-business revenue and gross-margin targets.Maintain a disciplined national sales pipeline and accurate forecasting through HubSpot CRM.Track conversion, pipeline progression, opportunity value and next actions.Provide clear commercial reporting and recommendations to senior management.Ensure opportunities continue progressing and that resources are focused on those offering the greatest strategic and commercial value.Market Development
Develop a deep understanding of the Australian healthcare, aged-care and FM markets.Identify emerging customer needs, industry trends and competitor activity.Represent Interclean at relevant industry conferences, events and leadership forums.Work closely with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns, events and account-based business development activity.Provide customer and market intelligence to help influence future products, services and technology development.What Success Looks Like

About You
You will be an experienced B2B business development professional who is equally comfortable opening a new opportunity, developing a boardroom-level relationship and working through the detail required to close a complex commercial agreement.
Ideally, you will bring:
7–10+ years' experience in business development, enterprise sales, strategic accounts or a similar commercial role.A demonstrated record of winning significant new B2B business.Experience managing complex or longer-cycle opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.Strong commercial judgement and confidence negotiating with senior decision-makers.Excellent presentation, proposal-writing and communication skills.Strong pipeline-management and forecasting discipline.Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot.The ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively across a broader business.A strategic mindset combined with a willingness to personally drive opportunities and get things done.A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate.Experience within healthcare, aged care, facilities management, hygiene, cleaning systems, medical products, technology or another complex B2B services environment will be highly regarded.
