The Opportunity
Providing expert advice on complex building and compliance matters Supporting enforcement activities and representing Council where required Supporting the operation of the Council’s Building Fire Safety Committee Mentoring and guiding building surveyors within the teamHelping the team manage workloads and priorities Supporting reporting, policy development, and continuous improvement initiativesUndertaking commercial building inspections and Building Rules assessmentsWorking closely with builders, developers, consultants and internal teams to achieve practical outcomesOngoing professional development and career progression opportunitiesEnjoy a supportive team culture that values collaboration, humour and professional respect
Who You Are
Passionate about community outcomes and motivated by meaningful work.Highly capable in building surveying, compliance, development services, planning, regulatory services or a related discipline.An engaging communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.Experienced in complex legislative and regulatory environments.Accreditation as a Building Professional Level 1, 2 (for Senior Development) or 3 will be highly regarded.Work across a diverse range of complex building and compliance matters
