About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer (m/f/d) to take ownership of our Android application, shaping its architecture, scalability, and future development. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the technical vision of our mobile platform, utilizing the latest Android technologies and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver a seamless, user-centric mobile experience. Your expertise will help ensure the app’s performance, stability, and long-term maintainability, contributing significantly to our goal of providing top-tier digital healthcare services across Europe. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Android development with a strong command of Kotlin. You should have a profound understanding of the Android SDK and modern development practices. Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow, Dependency Injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger, and REST API integration using Retrofit or OkHttp is essential. You should be well-versed in clean architecture principles, design patterns, and modularization techniques, with a proven track record of delivering maintainable and testable code. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, MockK, and experience managing complex projects independently are highly valued. A focus on performance optimization, scalability, and delivering exceptional user experiences is crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities As a Senior Android Developer, your key responsibilities will include: Leading the design and development of scalable, maintainable Android applications based on modern architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.Driving the adoption of Jetpack Compose to build declarative, responsive user interfaces that enhance user engagement and experience.Implementing best practices for modularization, code quality, testing, and performance optimization to ensure the app’s long-term scalability and maintainability.Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, user-focused features aligned with business goals.Managing the entire delivery pipeline, including CI/CD processes, automated testing (unit and UI tests), and release management to ensure timely and reliable deployments.Monitoring app performance, stability, and logging to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring a seamless user experience.Maintaining comprehensive documentation of architecture decisions, technical processes, and feature specifications to facilitate team collaboration and knowledge sharing.Staying current with the latest Android trends, frameworks, and tools, and proactively introducing innovations to improve the development process and product quality.
