Midrange Developer (.NET / Cloud / DevOps) About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Midrange Developer to join a high-performing Agile delivery team focused on building and supporting enterprise-scale digital services. This role is ideal for a hands-on .NET Developer who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and design through to development, testing, deployment and support. You will work within a collaborative DevOps environment, contributing to modern cloud-based solutions and secure digital services. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and support applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and Visual Studio.Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices-based solutions.Contribute to solution design and technical discussions within Agile delivery teams.Build, enhance and support enterprise applications hosted in cloud environments.Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and production support activities.Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.Investigate incidents, troubleshoot defects and implement sustainable fixes.Manage source code using Git and contribute to CI/CD deployment processes.Produce and maintain technical documentation.Essential Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial experience developing applications using C#, .NET Core/.NET, ASP.NET Core and Web APIs.Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL and database development.Experience building RESTful services and microservices-based applications.Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.Experience using Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipelines.Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Desirable SkillsAuthentication and authorisation technologies.OpenID Connect, OAuth2, JWT or Identity Management solutions.Docker and containerisation technologies.PowerShell scripting.Automated testing frameworks.Angular, React or Vue experience.Experience within large enterprise or government environments.Mandatory RequirementsAustralian Citizenship is required.Must hold an active Baseline Security Clearance.Ability to work in a Canberra-based hybrid environment (3 Days Onite)Personal AttributesStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.Collaborative team player with a willingness to mentor junior developers.Passion for modern software engineering practices and continuous improvement.Contract DetailsLong-term contract opportunityCanberra-basedHybrid working arrangementImmediate start preferredThis opportunity is well suited to a strong .NET Developer with cloud exposure and experience delivering secure, scalable enterprise applications within complex environments.
