Description

Cloud Infrastructure (OS Hardening Engineer) Hobart / Melbourne-based We are seeking an experienced engineer to support enterprise-wide operating system hardening and security baseline uplift initiatives across Windows and Linux environments. Key Responsibilities: Implement OS hardening and secure configuration baselines aligned with CIS Benchmarks and security standards.Deliver configuration changes using Infrastructure-as-Code and change-controlled deployment processes.Assess application and operational impacts of security configuration changes before production rollout.Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Operations, and Application teams to ensure successful implementation.Manage and maintain configuration automation using tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or similar.Support vulnerability remediation, compliance activities, and ongoing platform security improvements.Utilize Git-based workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and version control best practices. Key Skills & Experience: Strong Windows Server and Linux administration experience.Hands-on experience with OS hardening, security baselines, CIS Benchmarks, and vulnerability remediation.Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and automation tools.Practical Git and CI/CD experience.Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
