Job Description
Are you an experienced LCV Technician looking for a strong basic salary, consistent daytime hours and long-term job security?
An excellent opportunity has become available to join a well-established commercial vehicle business in the Tonbridge & Malling area.
The company operates a large fleet of around 600 commercial vehicles, predominantly 3.5-tonne panel vans, supplying vehicles on long-term contracts within the utility sector.
Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add another experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to their workshop team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and commercial vehicles Working predominantly on 3.5-tonne panel vans Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Identifying and replacing worn or defective components Preparing vehicles for MOT and statutory inspections Completing workshop documentation accurately Maintaining high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety Supporting the wider workshop team where required
Desired Skills And Experience
To be considered for this position, you should have:
A minimum of approximately five years’ experience working on commercial vehicles Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician or Commercial Vehicle Mechanic Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability A full UK driving licence Your own tools Reliable transport to and from the workshop
Experience working on Ford Transit vehicles would be particularly advantageous, although it is not essential.
HOURS
Monday To Friday, With a Choice Of
06:00 – 16:00
or
07:00 – 17:00
Every other Saturday: 07:00 – 12:00
