Description

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Own the team’s roadmap and ensure strategic vision execution for a global broadband network initiative. • Gather customer requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure software quality and system delivery. • Mentor, develop, and guide engineers in system development for operational tooling applications. • Innovate and deliver distributed software systems supporting critical mission functions, including launch, on-orbit demonstration, and constellation automation. • Drive operational excellence by identifying areas for improvement and initiating changes to enhance fleet productivity. • Own the architecture and backend systems supporting frontend applications for a critical tooling system. What You'll Need • 3+ years of experience in engineering team management. • 7+ years of direct experience working within engineering teams. • 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling. • Experience partnering with product or program management teams. • Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. • Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe product strategy.
