The Role We have an opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services Practice at Quorum, based in Sydney, Brisbane, OR Melbourne. As a Network Engineer - Managed Services, you will play a key role in the delivery and ongoing support of network services across our Managed Services client base. You will be responsible for managing complex network incidents, service requests, alerts, changes, professional services initiatives and tactical project work across a diverse range of customer environments. Network Engineers are responsible for supporting and maintaining traditional, software-defined and cloud-based networking technologies, ensuring customer environments remain secure, stable and aligned with best practice. You will act as a senior technical escalation point for complex networking issues, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability, security and operational maturity across customer networks. Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the scope of this role extends beyond technical expertise. Our Network Engineers are expected to produce high-quality documentation, effectively manage competing priorities across tickets, projects and maintenance activities, and make sound decisions based on technical and business impact. An exceptional customer focus is essential, as you will work directly with customers, vendors and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes and consistently high levels of customer satisfaction. What are we looking for We’re looking for an individual with strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes. You will have solid hands-on experience across enterprise networking technologies and be confident working directly with customers to deliver operational support, maintenance activities and project outcomes. This role suits someone who is dependable, solutions-focused, and comfortable working across varied customer environments. As a senior technical resource and subject matter expert, you’ll support the wider Managed Services team, providing guidance, knowledge sharing and technical leadership. Our Network Engineers lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and the strong sense of ethics we are known for at Quorum. This role suits someone who is adaptable and resilient, balancing multiple customers and priorities while ensuring deadlines, service levels, and expectations are consistently met. Role Requirements: This position will be responsible for the delivery and ongoing support of network services across our Managed Services client base. Your core technical experience will need to align with enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, network security and cloud networking. It is important that you are confident supporting complex customer environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering network projects from day one. Experience & Expertise – Minimum 5 years' experience designing, implementing, managing and supporting enterprise network environments. Managed Services experience is essential, along with experience working across multiple customer environments and balancing operational support, maintenance activities and project delivery responsibilities. Network Infrastructure – Strong hands-on experience across firewalls, routers, switching, wireless technologies, SD-WAN platforms, remote access solutions and VPN technologies. Demonstrated understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, QoS and high availability concepts. Enterprise Networking Platforms – Experience implementing and supporting enterprise networking solutions across multiple vendor platforms including Fortinet, HPE Aruba, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Juniper and Ubiquiti/UniFi, together with the ability to quickly learn and support additional technologies across a diverse customer base. Network Security & Cloud Networking – Experience implementing and supporting secure network environments, including firewall management, network segmentation, secure remote access solutions and policy-based traffic control. Exposure to cloud networking technologies within Microsoft Azure, including Virtual Networks (vNETs), Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute and hybrid connectivity solutions, is highly regarded. Exposure to Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) concepts and platforms such as Zscaler, Netskope, Microsoft Entra Global Secure Access and ThreatLocker would also be highly regarded. Project Delivery & Implementation – Experienced in delivering network projects and technical solutions from planning and implementation through to testing, documentation and handover. Organised, reliable, and capable of managing competing priorities across multiple customer engagements. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable working directly with customers during incidents, maintenance activities, technical reviews and project delivery engagements. Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Works well under pressure and adapts quickly when priorities shift. Proactive in identifying risks, resolving complex technical issues, and finding practical solutions that improve customer outcomes and network performance.
