We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer to join a global technology team building and supporting high-performance, scalable applications within a complex enterprise environment.
You will work on mission-critical systems, contribute to modern cloud-native architectures, and collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to deliver reliable and innovative solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Java development experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with modern DevOps and AI-assisted development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Build and support event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka.Develop and deploy applications in Kubernetes environments.Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.Leverage AI-powered development tools, including GitHub Copilot and other emerging AI technologies, to improve productivity and code quality.Ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, security, and scalability requirements.Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience working with Kafka or similar messaging technologies.Experience with GitLab and modern SDLC practices.Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
