Join a highly governed enterprise platform team supporting Power BI and Microsoft Fabric in a BigQuery-first environment.
This role is ideal for a hands-on platform engineer who enjoys building reliable operational patterns, improving automation, and helping users and partner teams solve complex technical problems.
Responsibilities
Design, configure, operate, and continuously improve Power BI and Fabric platform capabilities.Automate repeatable platform tasks such as workspace, role, and environment setup.Support tenant, workspace, capacity, deployment, and access-control processes.Strengthen monitoring, logging, alerting, diagnostics, and overall operational readiness.Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning, and load testing for high-volume DirectQuery workloads.Troubleshoot issues across Power BI, Fabric, identity, connectivity, and data-access areas.Partner with IAM, cloud infrastructure, GCP/data-platform, security, and product teams to resolve platform challenges.Turn ambiguous problems into durable engineering solutions, documentation, tooling, and runbooks.Help onboard new business domains and reduce manual steps in the onboarding process.Work directly with users to understand technical issues and drive them to resolution.
Skills
Hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric platform administration and support.Strong background in enterprise platform operations, not limited to report development.Experience with Power BI tenant configuration, workspace governance, and capacity management.Solid troubleshooting and systems-thinking skills across multiple technologies and teams.Familiarity with automation concepts or infrastructure-as-code practices.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with users and stakeholders.Comfort working in a highly governed environment where standard recommendations may need to be adapted.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Google BigQuery and GCP.Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, SSO, IAM, or identity federation.Exposure to Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.Cross-cloud architecture or troubleshooting experience.Experience with Power BI performance testing, capacity monitoring, APIs, or administrative automation.Familiarity with Google Looker.
