About The Role
As a Senior Estimator you will be required to:
Coordinating the estimating team, taking point on preparing and packaging tenders and quotes, and training younger engineers in estimating.Preparation of tenders, including submission documentation and coordinate bid preparation end-to-end.
About You
Trade background or engineering degree.Minimum 5 years' experience, 10+ would be ideal.Must be very fast and capable on the computer to pull apart drawings and tender packages.
Highly advanced Excel is a minimum — pivot tables, macros, the lot.Comfortable visiting minesites and client sites to inspect, measure and attend tender briefings.Working at heights, confined space, MSIC and EWP tickets will be required within the first 3 months.Have the ability to pass a mine site medical.Excellent English and communication skills — written, oral (phone) and in-person — with the confidence to sell a project to clients.Accuracy and attention to detailExperience across steel, stainless steel and aluminium.Hydraulics and machining experience highly desirable but not mandatoryExtensive structural steel estimating experience, must cover mine operations (chutes, conveyors, etc.) plus installation and maintenance estimatingYou must have full Australian work rights to be considered, no sponsorship on offer
