Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Front End Engineer based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The Junior Front End Engineer will implement user interfaces for web applications, translate design mockups into responsive layouts, and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
The role involves collaborating with designers, back-end engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver user-friendly features, optimize performance, and maintain UI consistency across products.
Daily responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable front-end code, troubleshooting UI issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of the front-end stack and development practices.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design, with the ability to build accessible, mobile-friendly user interfaces.Foundational skills in Web Development and Software Development, including familiarity with modern frameworks, version control, and testing practices.Basic understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts to collaborate effectively with server-side engineers.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) is an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English and Bahasa Indonesia.Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with RESTful APIs, UI performance optimization, and basic knowledge of UX principles is beneficial.
