Join a high-profile Defence capability program supporting the delivery and modernisation of complex Land Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare capabilities.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership, strengthen engineering governance and assurance, and contribute to capability development, integration, acquisition and sustainment across a complex portfolio.
Your duties will include:
Provide Systems Engineering leadership and technical direction, coordinating engineering activities across complex capability programs.Establish and coordinate engineering governance, technical reviews and assurance activities, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant Defence frameworks.Review and assess technical documentation, engineering artefacts and contractor deliverables, identifying risks, issues and dependencies.Support systems integration, interoperability and system-of-systems engineering, including capability architecture and technical integration activities.Drive the application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering practices across requirements, architecture, integration and lifecycle management.Engage with senior Defence, Government, Industry and technical stakeholders, providing strategic engineering advice, briefs, reports and recommendations to support decision-making.Skills and Experience we are looking for:
Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering leadership or management within Defence, Government or a complex technical environment.Strong experience applying Systems Engineering principles across capability development, acquisition, integration, sustainment and modernisation.Proven capability in engineering governance, technical assurance, engineering risk management and technical review processes.Demonstrated experience with MBSE, digital engineering, systems integration, interoperability and system-of-systems engineering.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate with senior Defence, Government, Industry and technical stakeholders.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline, with formal Systems Engineering/MBSE qualifications or Defence capability experience highly regarded.
