This position will suit a seasoned aerospace professional who thrives in a collaborative design environment, enjoys leading engineers, and delivers certified aerospace solutions for civil aviation and Defence clients. Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide are the preferred locations; however, we will consider suitable candidates in other locations. Operating at a senior level within a design office environment, you will provide technical authority, leadership, and engineering governance. You will lead the delivery, certification, and approval of aerospace designs in line with CASA regulatory frameworks, while mentoring engineers and driving high-quality project outcomes. What you'll be involved with: Performing duties as a CASA Part 21 Authorised Person (AP) / Certification Verification Engineer (CVE), in the structures and mechanical systems fieldsAlternatively, have demonstrated experience and ability to obtain CASA Part 21 AP / CVE authorisation within 24 months of commencement Leading development, review and (as applicable) approval of aerospace designsProviding technical leadership and resolving complex engineering issuesMentoring and developing engineersSupporting proposal and opportunity developmentManaging projects when assignedWhat we would like from you: CASA Part 21 AP/CVE or ability to obtain within 24 monthsStrong understanding of CASA certification standardsExtensive civil aerospace engineering experienceStrong leadership and stakeholder engagement skillsAustralian citizenship and clearance eligibilityLife at Nova - it all adds up!
