We currently have an abundance of ongoing work available for skilled Welders for metro, SOR work. About The Role We are currently seeking skilled Production Welders for major structural steel fabrication projects based in the Perth metro area. This is a 4-month workshop contract (SOR) based on project demand and performance. You will be working on heavy structural steel fabrication utilizing Mig (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). Please note: This role is strictly heavy structural steel fabrication (not pipe or stainless steel). Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality 3G / positional Flux Core (FCAW) and Mig welding on structural steel components.Interpret and work directly from structural fabrication drawings and shop prints.Prepare joint fit-ups, gouge/grind weld preparation, and ensure clean finishes.Maintain high production rates while meeting strict weld quality and safety standards.Operate safely within a fast-paced workshop environment. REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Engineering (Boilermaking/Welding) or proven equivalent trade experience.Welding Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in 3G Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) on structural steel plate/members.Work Ethic: Strong commitment to quality, punctuality, reliable with a safety-first mindset.Rights to Work: Full working rights in Australia.
