This includes the WUR AI Chat, the WUR LLM Hub and integrations with internal data sources. As an AI Platform Engineer, you will be part of an ambitious and technically strong team that is responsible for developing and maintaining our WUR AI Facility. You play a key role in setting up and managing the necessary infrastructure in Azure, provisioning of the CI/CD pipeline, monitoring and improving performance and improving the user experience. The system management covers infrastructure, platform, applications and functional services. We are looking for someone with a passion for IT, who has experience in building reliable infrastructure solutions based on Azure cloud solutions and on-premise cloud-native container environments. Your tasks and responsibilities as an AI Platform Engineer are: provisioning, managing, and further developing secure, reliable, and scalable Azure and Kubernetes environment(s) for the AI Facility;provision and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, including rollback and release procedures;manage environments, infrastructure resources, technical configurations, and dependencies, while ensuring version control and consistent provisioning across all environments;documenting technical architecture, management procedures and runbooks;automate the use and management. Supporting releases and analyzing technical incidents, malfunctions and performance issues;monitoring and improving platform performance, security, manageability and reliability. Setting up and maintaining the necessary monitoring, alerting and observability;collaborate with software developers to improve the user experience;you build it, you own it: you solve disruptions and performance issues together with your colleagues. Your team You will work in a team with a product owner, a scrum master, a solution architect, software developers and IT engineers. Our IT teams work according to agile principles. Collaboration, communication, transparency and continuous feedback are essential. You will work on campus at least two days a week and can choose to work partly from home as well, for good focus and a healthy work-life balance. You will work with state-of-the-art technology in the field of Artificial Intelligence and the infrastructure used for this. Your qualities You are an independent and inquisitive IT professional with a DevOps mindset. You like to work together with other professionals and different stakeholders in an agile environment. You are a connector and dare to speak out and ask questions. You are a real go-getter, have strong communication skills and have a warm heart for education and research. In addition, you are analytically minded but also solution- and customer-oriented. You are enterprising and have the drive and organizational talent to get things done as a driving force. You are creative and always look for new solutions to make existing environments more effective and new functionalities possible. You also have a good eye for the availability, stability, scalability and user-friendliness of the infrastructure provided. You Also Possess HBO working and thinking level, preferably through a completed HBO ICT education;experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer in an enterprise environment;knowledge of and experience with Linux and Kubernetes environments and Azure cloud solutions;knowledge of designing and managing cloud-native concepts;experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and a declarative mindset;experience with containerization and CI/CD tools (e.g. ArgoCD, Git(lab));basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python or Bash;a good command of Dutch and English. The working language within the IT organization is Dutch, but in our international working environment, more and more communication is in English.
