Stonegate Workforce Group is partnering with an innovative technology company developing AI-powered engineering solutions.
We’re seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to build scalable systems, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and provide hands-on technical leadership.
What You’ll Do:
• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs with a focus on performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to backend and infrastructure developers.
• Enhance cloud infrastructure through containerization, orchestration, and performance optimization.
• Establish best practices for code quality, maintainability, testing, and security.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-ready software and new product capabilities.
• Maintain documentation for system architecture, infrastructure, and security practices.
Required Qualifications — Must-Haves:
• 10+ years of experience building high-performance, scalable distributed systems, or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise building Kubernetes-based applications, including deploying and managing them in production.
• Strong backend engineering experience designing, developing, and scaling SaaS platforms.
• Demonstrated success providing technical leadership and mentoring developers.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade software with strong quality and supportability.
• Understanding of security practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with load balancing, autoscaling, and caching strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing methodologies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• An active or obtainable U.S.
security clearance—Secret or TS/SCI.
