Security clearance: Must have a Baseline security clearance.
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer/Developer to help build and operate secure AI platforms supporting essential government services.
You'll bring AI solutions into production, working with data scientists, architects and cyber security specialists to create reliable environments for machine learning and generative AI.
Your duties will include:
Design, build and improve AI platforms across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.Develop, test and maintain software, APIs and automation using Python and supporting tools.Deploy and manage AI models, including training, evaluation, model serving and ongoing monitoring.Automate platform configuration and software releases using Infrastructure as Code and continuous delivery pipelines.Integrate AI platforms with enterprise systems, data pipelines and storage services.Apply security controls, troubleshoot complex issues and support production deployments.Provide technical advice and documentation, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
Hands-on AI engineering experience, including building new environments and improving existing platforms.Strong experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift and OpenShift AI, including model deployment, pipelines and platform administration.Practical container engineering skills using Docker or Podman, supported by Linux, networking and storage knowledge.Proficiency in Python, Git and deployment automation, with experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD or Tekton.Experience managing the AI/ML lifecycle, including model training, deployment, optimisation and monitoring.Exposure to generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases and GPU workloads.Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience applying security, governance and data protection requirements.
