A market leader for more than 25 years, this highly successful and profitable privately owned Australian business produces and markets directly and through local and global distributors, an exceptionally high performance mineral additive to manufacturers in a broad array of industries including surface coatings, construction materials, composites, and specialty ceramics.
Pursuing an aggressive growth strategy, the company seeks a dynamic, accomplished sales and business development professional to drive revenue and profit growth in existing market segments, while identifying and driving business development in new market segments across Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia.
This is a business critical senior role requiring clearly demonstrable proven performance in:
Personal direct sales of industrial minerals, chemicals, or additives to major and potential end user customers in Australia and internationallyMotivating and supporting local, and ideally, international distributors in a technical consultative sales and major account management environment Creating, developing, and implementing sales and marketing strategies and tacticsGrowing sales revenue and gross margin beyond budgets in the company’s established, developing, and undeveloped market segments, migrating sales from heavily competitive markets to more profitable specialist niche markets Verbal and written commercial communication required to effectively deal, influence, and lead all key stakeholders in major accounts and local and international distributors
Tertiary qualifications in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline are required, coupled with a minimum 5 years’ senior experience in hands on technical industrial sales and key account management in one or more of the industries described above.
A post graduate business qualification, combined with strong business analysis skills and global customer exposure would be a distinct advantage.
As a key member of a small and highly professional team, you will bring disciplined planning and organisation; advanced commercial skills (communication, presentation, negotiation, training, and technical support); and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
The salary package comprises a base salary of $175,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience), statutory superannuation, $18,500 per annum car allowance plus fuel card, and a discretionary performance based annual bonus of up to 25% per annum.
