The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join our Estates and Facilities Team as Associate Director of Capital Projects and Infrastructure.
This is a strategically important role responsible for the planning, governance and delivery of the Trust's capital investment programme, supporting the development of modern healthcare facilities and infrastructure that enable outstanding patient care.
Reporting to the Group Director and Capital Projects & Infrastructure, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital projects, infrastructure investment, property matters and strategic redevelopment programmes.
You will provide expert advice to executive and operational leaders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and provide maximum value for patients, staff and the organisation.
We are looking for an experienced capital, estates or infrastructure professional with a proven track record of leading complex programmes within large and challenging environments.
You will bring strong strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through change and delivery.

Main duties of the job
The Associate Director of Capital Projects and Infrastructure will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Trust's capital programme, ensuring investment supports clinical priorities, statutory compliance, operational resilience and long-term organisational objectives.
The Postholder Will
Lead the development, prioritisation and delivery of the Trust's capital projects and infrastructure programmes.Provide executive-level assurance regarding programme performance, governance, risk, finance and compliance.Oversee business case development, project approval processes and capital planning activities.Lead multidisciplinary project teams, external consultants and construction partners.Provide strategic leadership for property, estate redevelopment and infrastructure investment initiatives.Develop strong relationships with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders to ensure capital investments support service improvement objectives.Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.Contribute to wider organisational strategy, transformation programmes and long-term estate planning activities.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Capital Projects and Infrastructure is responsible for providing strategic leadership, professional expertise and operational management for the Trust's capital projects and infrastructure function.
Key Responsibilities Include
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and delivery of the Trust's capital investment programme.Support the development of long-term estates and infrastructure strategies.Ensure capital investment aligns with clinical priorities, organisational objectives and available resources.Provide expert advice to senior management teams, committees and Boards.
Capital Programme Delivery
Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects from concept and business case development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and post-project review.Ensure effective governance, reporting and performance management arrangements are in place across all projects.Maintain oversight of programme risks, opportunities and dependencies.
Financial and Commercial Management
Lead capital planning, forecasting and programme monitoring activities.Ensure robust financial management and value-for-money principles are embedded across all projects.Support the development of business cases and investment proposals.
Compliance, Quality and Assurance
