We are seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to join our Construction business unit, supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Central Coast Region of NSW.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a site-based environment and wants to contribute to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
You will play a key role in coordinating mechanical installation works, driving productivity on site, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee mechanical construction activities across water and wastewater infrastructure projectsManage the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical equipment and plantEnsure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standardsMonitor site performance, productivity, and construction progress against program requirementsAssist with short-term planning, procurement activities, and subcontractor managementWork closely with Project Engineers, Supervisors, and client representatives to achieve project objectivesIdentify and resolve technical and construction challenges to minimise project riskMaintain a strong focus on health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all activitiesAccurately track project costs, quantities, and completed works
Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineExperience delivering mechanical works within construction, infrastructure, utilities, mining, energy, or industrial projectsExposure to water and wastewater infrastructure projects will be highly regardedPrevious experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site-based activitiesStrong understanding of mechanical installation methodologies and construction processesAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentationExcellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skillsProven commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standardsA proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and work effectively in a team environment
