We're looking for an Associate Systems Engineer (Game Operations) to join our client's Technical Operations team.

Engagement Details
Our client is a globally recognized leader in interactive entertainment, operating some of the most played games in the world with hundreds of millions of players.
As an Associate Systems Engineer on their Game Operations team, you'll deploy, manage, and proactively improve high-performing, highly available services for players.
You'll monitor and administer game environments, most importantly production, working closely with Live Operations and NOC teams to understand the state of the game and take swift action to correct any problems, faults, or outages.
You'll use deep technical knowledge and a passion for operational excellence to keep a major live title running smoothly.
Players depend on you for an uninterrupted game experience.
You'll also work with other technical and non-technical teams, inside and outside the organization, to keep the game and its supporting systems operating at peak performance.
You'll report into the Head of Technical Operations.
What You'll Do:
Ensure the game is up and operating as expected through system monitoring and close relationships with other teams.Quickly correct any system faults or failures affecting players.Perform maintenance on systems and infrastructure as necessary to keep the game operating effectively.Work independently on mission-critical, extended-scope projects.Ensure system, service, and network capacity is sufficient to support current and expected demand.Write and document procedures for yourself and others to systematically perform maintenance.Create tools to optimize operational tasks.
Availability: Fulltime.
Hybrid, within Australia.

Required Qualifications
2+ years of Technical Operations experience supporting live 24/7 services, including building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and fixing systems at scale.Experience with Linux systems at scale on cloud platforms.Experience building and troubleshooting networks.Operational understanding of database systems, including querying and migrating databases.Experience with cloud infrastructure and application security, including identifying security problems and addressing potential threats.Ability to write software, especially tools to aid in supporting systems.English & Mandarin language skills are a major plus.
