About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to building and maintaining a suite of large-scale, integrated cloud services within a distributed, multi-tenant environment.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing systems that support OCI Compute, including bare metal and virtual machines powered by CPUs and GPUs.
As part of this team, you will be instrumental in advancing our host state management capabilities, enhancing efficiency, visibility, and reliability for GPU and CPU systems.
This position is ideal for engineers passionate about distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and solving complex technical challenges that impact global enterprise customers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with a minimum of six years of experience in software development or DevOps within large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Proficiency in cloud-based data store primitives, Java programming, and operating systems such as Linux is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate a systematic approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of ownership.
Deep understanding of service metrics, alarms, dashboards, and KPIs is required.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and being comfortable with on-call support rotations is preferred.
Additional qualifications include expertise in cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Docker, virtualization, security protocols, and data stores.
