The role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can work independently within an established codebase, contribute to ongoing development, and collaborate effectively with a distributed team across US business hours.
Key Responsibilities and Required Skills & Experience
Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
Build and consume RESTful APIs to support front-end and integration needs
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database logic
Build and maintain responsive, functional front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt in existing applications
Collaborate with cross-functional team members (developers, QA, product/business stakeholders) to deliver features on schedule
Participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and best practices
Provide clear, timely communication on progress, blockers, and technical decisions
Document code changes, technical decisions, and processes as needed
5–8 years of professional software development experience
Expert-level proficiency in ASP.NET MVC
Strong experience building and consuming Web API / RESTful services
Strong proficiency in C#
Solid experience writing and optimizing T-SQL (stored procedures, functions, query tuning)
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Experience maintaining and extending existing codebases
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Overlap availability with US business hours (specify time zone overlap expectations)
Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, TFS/Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with IIS deployment and configuration
Experience with dependency injection, unit testing, and design patterns in .NET
