About The Job
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep React and front-end engineering experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience that closely aligns with our current tech stack, particularly React, Redux, TypeScript, Vitest, Playwright, and GitHub Actions.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced team that excels at building quality client products at scale.
You'll own features end-to-end, raise the bar on engineering practices like testing, CI/CD, code review, and secure delivery, and help client teams build patterns that keep their products maintainable as they grow.
This position reports to an Engineering Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Owning feature development end-to-end in React applications, from application design through implementation and releaseEstablishing and improving automated quality gates, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testingLeading code reviews to raise code quality, consistency, and maintainability across client codebasesAuthoring and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for build, test, lint, and security checksAdministering GitHub repositories, including dependency management, permissions, branch protection, and overall repo hygienePartnering with client teams to harden security and quality posture through dependency updates, vulnerability remediation, and static analysisBuilding reusable patterns and foundations, such as shared components and design system integrations, so products stay scalable and safe to evolveMentoring and pairing with engineers, including client and distributed teams, on modern React and front-end practicesCommunicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersLearning and adapting quickly across a variety of technologies, tools, and client platforms, including enterprise systems you may not have worked with beforePerforming other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5+ years of software development experienceDeep experience with React and Redux (or comparable state management), including application designStrong TypeScript experience, including integrating front ends with REST APIs and backend platformsExperience with React unit and integration testing, and with end-to-end testingDemonstrated code review leadership on React codebasesExperience authoring and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and administering GitHub repositoriesExperience building accessible, responsive UIs, ideally within a shared design systemStrong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skillsAbility to work effectively across multiple projects and technologies
Experience with Vitest, Playwright, Snyk, SonarQube, Cursor or other AI-assisted development tools, Next.js, AWS or other cloud platforms, or enterprise platforms such as IBM TRIRIGA is highly valued.
As a senior engineer, you'll often be the technical face of Bellwood to our clients.
You should be comfortable leading technical conversations with client stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical plans, setting expectations and pushing back when needed, and building the trust that turns engagements into long-term partnerships.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation at Bellwood is determined by several factors, including job scope, title, and relevant experience.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $105,000 – $125,000

Travel Requirements
This position requires travel to attend two company-wide events annually.
These events are an important part of Bellwood's culture and collaboration practices.
Bellwood will arrange and cover all travel and accommodation expenses.
In addition, this role includes four on-site visits per year to our client's headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
Additional travel related to client or team needs may occasionally be required.
