We are seeking an Asphalt Project Engineer to join our team and focus of the delivery of the North East Link Project, Victoria's largest transport infrastructure project. Project Engineer The Opportunity We are seeking an Asphalt Project Engineer to join our team and focus of the delivery of the North East Link Project, Victoria's largest transport infrastructure project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of complex civil and asphalt construction works while working alongside some of the industry's most experienced professionals. You'll take ownership of project outcomes, drive performance across safety, quality, programme and cost. What You'll Be Doing As a Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Managing the delivery of allocated projects from planning through to completionEnsuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specificationMonitoring commercial performance, forecasting and cost controlManaging subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholdersDriving project programmes and identifying opportunities to improve performanceLeading risk management and ensuring timely resolution of project issuesPreparing and reviewing project reports, claims and contractual documentationSupporting tender development and estimating activitiesBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsChampioning Downer's Zero Harm culture and safety leadership expectations What You'll Bring A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineProven experience delivering civil construction, asphalt, surfacing or infrastructure projectsStrong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasts and cost controlSound understanding of contract administration and project delivery methodologiesDemonstrated ability to lead project outcomes in a collaborative environmentStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsA proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvementA commitment to safety leadership and fostering a Zero Harm culture Why Join Downer?
