We are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our Software organization in Oulu. You will design, develop and maintain the secure, reliable and scalable backend services at the core of iLOQ 5 Series+. This is a role for an experienced software professional who enjoys solving complex problems, takes ownership beyond writing code and wants to influence both technical solutions and the way software is developed. What you'll do As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work as part of a cross-functional software team and contribute throughout the software lifecycle. You will: Design, develop, test and maintain reliable, scalable backend services and APIs for our cloud-based platformTake end-to-end ownership of services from design and implementation to release, monitoring and continuous improvementTranslate functional and non-functional requirements into practical technical solutionsExplore and apply AI-assisted development tools in a secure and responsible wayReview code and develop automated tests, supporting high standards for security, quality and maintainability, and contributing to efficient CI/CD practicesInvestigate and resolve complex technical issuesContribute to the modernization and continuous development of our software architectureCollaborating with Product Owners, Software Architects, Test Engineers and other stakeholders, share knowledge and support the development of colleagues. What you'll bring To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: Relevant degree (Bachelor or Master)Several years of professional experience in backend software development, including designing and implementing APIs and backend servicesStrong skills in C# and .NET or comparable backend technologiesExperience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and a solid understanding of microservice architectures and distributed systemsExperience working with relational databases and data-driven applicationsFamiliarity with automated testing, CI/CD and modern software development practicesAn understanding of software security, maintainability and operational reliabilityThe ability to analyze complex problems and turn them into clear, sustainable solutionsA proactive and collaborative working style with strong communication skills, including professional written and spoken English We consider experience in the following areas an advantage: AWS services and cloud-native application developmentEvent-driven architectures and asynchronous communicationService monitoring, logging and observabilitySecure software development or access management solutionsHigh-availability or business-critical systemsWorking with software solutions that interact with physical products or devices What you'll get You will build products that end up in buildings all over the world and ease the everyday lives of our customers.
