About Us Suave Money is building Phoenix Market (phoenix.market), a fiat-to-crypto on/off-ramp that lets users convert USD to USDC instantly via Zelle, with no additional KYC. Founded by ex-Jump Crypto and Y Combinator alumni, and backed by a16z, HF0, and Orange DAO. We're a small team preparing the next version of our mobile app, and we're hiring a software engineer to help build it. What you'll own The mobile app. The React Native app people use to buy and sell.The backend. The TypeScript backend behind every trade, including zkTLS payment-proof verification.Smart contracts. The Solidity contracts that hold and release sellers' USDC.Testing and security. The code moves real money, so every change gets tests, code review and a security check. What we're looking for You've built and shipped things. A side project, a hackathon build, open-source work, an internship or a job. We look at what you've made more than where you studied.TypeScript and React. Or you've gone deep in another language and can pick them up quickly.Fundamentals. You can reason about data, APIs and failure cases, and you ask questions when something's unclear.AI coding tools. You should be comfortable shipping with AI. You're responsible for every line you merge and should be able to explain it.In person in SF. We work together from the office. Tasks often arrive loosely defined, and you'll work out the details.Authorized to work in the U.S. We can't sponsor visas for this role.Nice to have. React Native or Expo; Solidity or another smart-contract language; an interest in crypto, payments or cryptography. No crypto background is needed.
