Description
For our client, we are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer (Remote - US) to join the team of a leader in the Media space.
This role will lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure supporting production workloads in a fast-paced media environment.
The position will partner closely with application, security, and cloud teams to strengthen delivery pipelines, improve observability, and maintain reliable service across environments.
The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation to support secure, scalable operations.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $131,256 – $223,134 annually
Responsibilities
Own and operate multi-account AWS environments across all stages, including VPC, EKS, and other AWS services.
Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage environment configurations for infrastructure changes.
Administer Amazon EKS Auto Mode and Kubernetes resources, including upgrades and access management.
Support GitOps controllers and infrastructure automation, resolving lifecycle failures as necessary.
Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions for deployment and rollback procedures.
Manage Microsoft SQL Server on AWS RDS, including backups and performance monitoring.
Implement security and audit controls across AWS services for compliance and security best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or similar experience, with 5+ years on AWS production workloads.
5+ years of Terraform experience, focusing on reusable modules and automated workflows.
4+ years administering production Kubernetes, specifically Amazon EKS and GitOps.
3+ years building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
