Within the Digital Platform Services department, our teams specialize in areas such as cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup or storage, as well as networking and security. We also have 1st line support consultants who speak French and English, but also Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German. The Application Services department is responsible for areas such as software development, data engineering, testing services, CRM, ITSM and ERP platform integrations, as well as application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. Job Description We are part of an international shared services team delivering infrastructure and database support to multiple external clients, primarily in France and Germany. Our focus is on ensuring secure, stable, and high-performing database environments across various industries. We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented Oracle Database Administrator who enjoys technical challenges, takes ownership of assigned activities, and is comfortable working in an international service delivery environment. Note that we can only offer cooperation to people with EU citizenship who are located in Poland and are willing to commute to our office in Katowice or Gdańsk, Poland The position operates within a two-shift schedule: 08:00–16:00, 10:00–18:00, plus on-call duties outside of business hours on a rotational basis, including weekly and weekend shifts. Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching Oracle database systemsMonitoring database availability, performance, capacity, and overall healthPerforming regular database maintenance and optimization activitiesManaging database users, roles, privileges, and security configurationsImplementing and validating backup and recovery solutionsPerforming database restore and recovery operationsSupporting disaster recovery and business continuity testsTroubleshooting database incidents, performance issues, and service disruptionsPerforming root cause analysis and preparing technical recommendationsSupporting database migrations, including migrations from on-premises environments to cloud platformsAutomating recurring operational and administrative tasksMaintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and database inventoriesParticipating in change implementation and production support activitiesCollaborating with infrastructure, operating system, network, application, security, and cloud teamsParticipating in the on-call support rotation Tech stack on the project: Oracle databaseCloud: AWS, Azure, OVH Qualifications Must have requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, including support of production environmentsSolid understanding of Oracle database architecture and hands-on experience with database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and day-to-day administrationExperience with Oracle backup, restore, and recovery operations, including RMANStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve database incidents and performance issuesGood knowledge of SQL, Oracle administration utilities, and database security concepts (users, roles, and privileges)Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems and following operational, change management, and security proceduresAbility to create and maintain technical documentationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasksEffective communication and collaboration skills, enabling cooperation with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in an international environmentProfessional level of English Nice to have requirements: Experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWSExperience migrating databases from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environmentsFamiliarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change managementKnowledge of additional database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB Additional Information What we offer: BENEFITS (UoP): Luxmed, Medicover Sport, Worksmile, educational platforms, languages learning platform, referral bonus, [copyrights* tbc], life insurance, certifications (paid by the company), conferences, Tech Lunches, possibility to join our Communities (Project Management, Architecture, Security, Process Management, Leadership, AI and Cloud), local kindergarten.
