About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team at Version 1. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications primarily utilizing AWS services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, DevOps engineers, and front-end developers to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in serverless architecture, infrastructure as code, and microservices, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, and CloudWatch.Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, Golang, TypeScript, or React.Experience in developing and managing infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and automation tools.Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and relevant testing frameworks.Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties: Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications leveraging AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, and CloudWatch.Develop infrastructure as code to automate deployment processes and ensure reliable, repeatable infrastructure setup using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.Create and optimize front-end and back-end solutions to meet project requirements and enhance user experience.Contribute to the development of event-driven and microservices architectures to improve system scalability and resilience.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and deployment automation.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the application stack to ensure high availability and performance.Stay updated with the latest AWS features and industry best practices, continuously improving the architecture and code quality.Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical documentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
