🚀 SUSE Rancher Platform Engineer 📍 Location: London (Remote)💼 Sector: Financial Services & Insurance⏱️ Duration: 6–8 Weeks (Contract / High-Priority Project) 📌 Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer to lead a greenfield implementation of SUSE Rancher Prime within a highly regulated financial services environment. In this role, you will build an isolated cluster management plane, implement robust container security controls, and connect our on-premises infrastructure with cloud resources. 🔑 Key Responsibilities 🏗️ Control Plane Deployment: Deploy and configure greenfield SUSE Rancher Prime management planes across independent clusters.🛡️ Container Security: Implement NeuVector for runtime vulnerability scanning, network traffic visibility, and automated policy controls.🌐 Hybrid Infrastructure: Build seamless integration paths between our on-premise VMware vSphere footprint and an enterprise Azure landing zone.📊 Observability & Ops: Set up native Kubernetes monitoring, centralized logging, and operational alerting stacks.📚 Documentation & Governance: Author comprehensive technical handoff docs, operational runbooks, and disaster recovery (DR) procedures. 🎯 Technical Requirements 🔹 SUSE Rancher Prime: Deep, hands-on experience with Rancher Prime setup and full cluster lifecycle management.🔹 NeuVector Security: Proven experience configuring NeuVector container security policies and runtime threat detection.🔹 Hybrid Environments: Strong background with VMware vSphere virtualization and enterprise Azure landing zone architectures.🔹 Kubernetes Core: Advanced knowledge of K8s networking (CNI/Ingress), storage class definitions, and air-gapped security standards.
