Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a product team supporting business-critical trading applications and infrastructure within a 24/7 financial environment. The role combines hands-on technical operations with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, monitoring and the ongoing modernisation of an established on-premise environment, including the move towards greater containerisation and automation. Key Responsibilities Manage, maintain and improve production infrastructure and applications across an on-premise environment.Automate deployment, configuration and operational processes using Ansible, Jenkins, Git and HashiCorp Vault.Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9, including patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity management.Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments across test and production environments.Monitor applications and infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana and OpenSearch.Work with VMware, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Patroni, etcd, Apache and HAProxy.Support infrastructure architecture improvements, automation and containerisation initiatives.Work closely with development teams on architecture, deployment and operational requirements.Mentor team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing. Experience Required 6+ years' experience within DevOps, infrastructure or technical operations, ideally supporting 24/7 financial or enterprise environments.Advanced hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.Extensive experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD.Experience managing and automating predominantly on-premise infrastructure.Experience modernising legacy environments and moving towards containerisation.Knowledge of highly available, fault-tolerant and disaster recovery environments.Ability to troubleshoot production issues and take ownership during incidents.Excellent written and spoken English. Desirable Experience Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, VMware, HashiCorp Vault, OpenSearch, networking, load balancing, firewalls, TLS/certificates, identity management, SRE, containerisation, Java, Kotlin, Python or Go.
