Role Description The Shopify Developer (Remote) role is a part-time position focused on building, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify stores for a variety of clients. Day-to-day tasks include developing custom themes, configuring apps and integrations, and implementing responsive designs that align with brand guidelines and e-commerce best practices. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing site performance, and enhancing user experience to support higher conversions and better ROI on marketing efforts. The developer will collaborate with project managers, designers, and digital marketing specialists, translating business requirements into scalable Shopify solutions. All work is performed remotely, with an emphasis on clear communication, timely delivery, and adherence to client specifications and quality standards. Qualifications Strong Shopify development skills, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and front-end implementation (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Experience integrating Shopify with third-party apps and services, such as payment gateways, shipping solutions, analytics tools, and marketing automation platforms.Competence in e-commerce best practices, including UX/UI for online stores, product catalog setup, checkout optimization, and performance tuning.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional remote teams, interpret business and marketing requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals and analytics tools to support digital marketing and improve store visibility and conversion rates.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple part-time projects and deadlines independently in a remote setting.Relevant experience as a Shopify Developer or Front-End Developer; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.Prior experience working with international clients, agency environments, or SMB/startup e-commerce businesses is an advantage.
