About The Project Working in a strategic Alliance with Thiess and Harmony, you will form part of a collaborative team, driven by shared objectives and values to deliver operational excellence at the Eva Copper Mine Project. The Eva Copper Mine Project is located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People in North West Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry and about 95 km north-east of Mount Isa. The opportunity Are you highly organised with a passion for Civil Construction? Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Site Engineers to join our high-performing team at the Eva Copper Mine Project in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, Australia. As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team you will report to the Project Engineer, you’ll be responsible for working collaboratively to deliver high-quality plans and designs for our civil works. Roster: 2:1 | Location: Eva Copper Project, QLD | Employment Type: Max Term Contract ending October 2027 As the Site Engineer, you will: Design civil construction components for both permanent and temporary works. Liaise with the Senior Engineers and Civil Superintendent to improve processes and clarify design requirementsEnsure civil operations are executed efficiently and cost-effectivelyPerform duties as a Quality Management RepresentativeReport daily progress, non-compliance issues, and work delays to the Construction ManagerConduct regular inspections of job sites to assess compliance and identify areas for improvementActively monitor the work environment to identify and mitigate hazardsAssist with quality and safety auditsImplement technical and safety requirements for the projectOversee and monitor daily quality control proceduresTrack daily production and ensure adherence to cost and schedule targetsActively contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of work practices. About You Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent1–2 years of experience in civil construction projects, preferably in a Tailings Storage Facility and/or Mining environmentA current, valid Australian driver’s licencePossession of a White CardStrong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilitiesExcellent organisational and planning skillsProficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate to advanced skills.
