Backend Engineer

Experience 5 to 7 Responsibilities Partner with Product Owners to understand requirements and break them down into deliverable work itemsDesign and develop scalable resilient and observable microservicesOwn the complete software delivery lifecycle from design through deploymentDeliver solutions within agreed timelines while maintaining engineering quality standardsProvide production support and resolve complex incidentsConduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issuesAct as a technical consultant for platform users and application teamsCollaborate with crossfunctional technology teams and stakeholdersManage technical debt and drive platform modernization initiativesMaintain strong security and vulnerability management practicesMentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practicesContribute to DevOps Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering initiativesContinuously improve platform reliability performance and supportability To be successful in this role you should have Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline8 years of Software Engineering experienceAt least 3 years in a Technical Lead DevOps Platform Engineering or SRE roleStrong understanding of Internet and Web technologies including HTTP DNS TLS and Load BalancingStrong knowledge of Reverse Proxies Service Meshes and API GatewaysExperience designing Microservices ArchitecturesStrong programming skills in Java JavaScript Python or ClojureExperience with Monitoring and Observability platforms such as Grafana and InfluxDBUnderstanding of TimeSeries Databases and Data Visualization conceptsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExperience managing and resolving critical production incidentsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in globally distributed teamsStrong learning mindset and ability to quickly adopt new technologiesExperience mentoring engineers and driving knowledge sharingStrong LinuxUnix administration knowledge is desirableExperience with KVM or VMware virtualization is beneficialExperience with AWS GCP or Azure cloud platforms is advantageousFamiliarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferredSkills Mandatory Skills : Azure DevOps, Java
