About the Opportunity:
The DEVOPS ENGINEER II role provides mid-level engineering support for the FTM Support Program.
This position is responsible for implementing and managing automated CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and deployment workflows to ensure compliance, performance, and stability across multiple environments.
The role is critical in enabling secure and efficient delivery of mission applications used by Navy readiness and training systems.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.Manage pipeline secrets and credentials with secure vaulting compliant with DoD policies.Optimize pipelines to improve build times, reliability, and deployment traceability.Ensure CI/CD environments comply with DISA STIGs, RMF, vulnerability management, and ATO documentation.Participate in cybersecurity reviews, accreditation, and RMF evidence preparation.Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters including RBAC, namespaces, network policies, and monitoring.Develop and maintain Helm charts, deployment manifests, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools across multiple enclaves.Version-control infrastructure and participate in change control and configuration management.Automate tasks such as patching, configuration validation, log ingestion, and backups.Monitor system performance with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK and configure alerts.Troubleshoot CI/CD, infrastructure, container, and application issues in hybrid environments.Collaborate with development and engineering teams to resolve build and deployment issues.Produce and maintain documentation for pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment procedures.Support configuration management baselines and audit readiness activities.Provide reporting inputs on DevOps metrics, system stability, and deployment outcomes.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Three to five years of DevOps engineering or infrastructure automation experience in enterprise or Government environments.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.Strong knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes/OpenShift.Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity guidelines including RMF, DISA STIGs, and secure configuration baselines.Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Active DoD Secret security clearance.Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security access and background checks.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range of $115,000 to $125,000 annually.
