Project Description: You will join a Regulatory Reporting Platform within a large US investment bank. The platform is responsible for collecting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data from multiple internal systems to produce regulatory reports for 240 jurisdictions worldwide. In total, the platform supports around 10,000 reports across a wide range of regulatory, compliance, financial, and risk reporting areas. This is a large-scale, business-critical data platform operating in a highly regulated environment, where data accuracy, quality, traceability, and timely delivery are essential. The team works on building and enhancing data pipelines, implementing reporting logic, ensuring data validation and reconciliation, and supporting the generation of complex regulatory outputs. The project is delivered by a global distributed team with colleagues located in Ukraine, Poland, and the US, offering close collaboration with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders across multiple regions. Project Description: We are looking for a senior Java developer to join our client's team and contribute to the development of modern, scalable back-end services. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on clean code, agile methodologies, and delivering high-quality solutions. The client is from the investment banking industry. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and SpringImplement data access using Hibernate and SQL, with attention to performance and maintainabilityAnalyze and tune SQL queries and database performance on Oracle (preferred) or PostgreSQLDefine and consume RESTful APIs, clearly communicating requirements and constraints across teamsTranslate business and product requirements into robust technical solutionsApply clean code principles and back-end best practices across the codebaseWrite and maintain automated tests (unit, integration)Participate actively in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), including refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectivesPerform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and toolingWork closely with QA, product managers, and architects to ensure high-quality, business-aligned deliveriesSupport and improve existing applications in a fast-paced, enterprise investment-banking environment Mandatory Skills Description: Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Java developer, with a proven track record on long-term projectsStrong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and HibernateStrong SQL skills, including query and performance tuningHands-on experience with Oracle (preferred) or PostgreSQLExperience in automated testing of Java applicationsClean coding skillsExcellent problem-solving abilitiesExperience in RESTful API designFamiliarity with agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)Good communication skills and the ability to clearly state requirements to other teams Nice-to-Have Skills Description: - agile development methodologies - investment banking domain knowledge as a big plus Languages: English: C1 Advanced
