About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR ENGINEERING DELIVERY MANAGER role is designed to establish and maintain predictable, transparent, and scalable software delivery processes.
Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, this position plays a critical part in coordinating planning, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring release readiness across Product and Engineering teams.
The role contributes by improving delivery effectiveness and shaping the engineering operating model to support the company’s growth and operational goals.
Responsibilities:
Establish scalable planning and delivery governance processes.Coordinate cross-functional teams to enable confident and consistent execution.Lead planning rhythms ensuring realistic and achievable engineering commitments.Improve the quality and outcomes of delivery meetings through preparation and follow-through.Coach Product and Engineering teams on delivery best practices.Provide leadership with accurate, data-driven views of delivery health.Identify and communicate risks and dependencies early.Ensure releases are fully prepared with confirmed scope and operational readiness.Maintain up-to-date delivery systems for reliable status and forecasting.Implement disciplined capacity and sprint planning.Align Product and Engineering on trade-offs and sustainable delivery habits.Convert lessons learned into scalable delivery practices.Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
5+ years in engineering delivery, technical program management, or similar roles.Experience coordinating complex software initiatives across multiple teams.Strong skills in planning, sequencing, dependency and risk management, and delivery forecasting.Proficient in facilitating planning, refinement, delivery reviews, retrospectives, and release readiness.Practical knowledge of Scrum and Kanban with adaptability.Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.Experience using delivery metrics like cycle time and throughput.Understanding of software lifecycles, testing, releases, CI/CD, and technical debt.Ability to effectively engage with engineers without direct development responsibilities.Experience partnering with leadership to translate priorities into plans.Strong facilitation and stakeholder influence skills.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.Capacity to identify and communicate risks constructively.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Independent work capability combined with cross-functional collaboration.Hands-on approach to reporting and process facilitation.Interest and potential for broader engineering operations leadership.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or regulated industries preferred.Experience with API-enabled, integration-heavy products preferred.Experience coordinating distributed or remote teams preferred.Agile, Scrum, or program management certification preferred.
