The Opportunity
UGL Transport is seeking a highly experienced Senior Maintenance & Test Engineer to provide technical leadership across the NSW Passenger fleet.
Based at Kangy Angy, this role is critical to ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient maintenance, testing and commissioning of rolling stock while supporting the delivery of one of Australia's most significant rail programs.
Reporting to the Maintenance and Testing Manager, you will play a key leadership role providing technical guidance, supporting fault investigations, developing maintenance processes and mentoring technical teams across maintenance and commissioning operations.
About You
You may bring experience from rail, rolling stock or another safety-critical industry such as defence, aviation, manufacturing, automotive or heavy industry.
What matters most is your ability to provide technical leadership, solve complex problems and work collaboratively to deliver safe and reliable outcomes.
You Will Ideally Have
An Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or related technical qualification.Experience in maintenance, testing, commissioning, asset management or reliability engineering.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.The ability to engage and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to safety.Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting others within a technical environment.The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
