About The Role As our Sr. Backend Python Developer your primary focus will be managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. You will be responsible for the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. Your Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To Developing backend for web & mobile apps using FastAPI or other Python frameworksWriting reusable, testable, and efficient code using Python programming languageDesigning relational and NoSQL databases for app backendLiaising with software development team to determine application requirementsIntegration of user-facing elements developed by the full stack developer with server side logicDeveloping back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performanceTesting and debugging applicationsAssessing and prioritizing client feature requestsIntegrating data storage solutionsReprogramming existing databases to improve functionalityDeveloping digital tools to monitor online traffic Required Qualifications And Experience University Degree in computer science or equivalent is required10+ years of experience with Backend Development using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django)10+ years of experience working with relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server)5+ years of experience working with front-end frameworks (Angular preferred)Experience with Python libraries - Pandas, SeleniumExperience with web technologies, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript are essentialAbility to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one systemExperience with Heroku or any other Cloud platform experienceExperience with unit testing and testing frameworksExperience with CI/CDAbility to create database schemas that represent and support business processesStrong unit test and debugging skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA good independent worker who can hit the ground running Preferred Qualifications, But Not Required Background in Consumer Package Goods IndustryExposure to mobile app developmentWeb designKnowledge of application implementations involving Cordova / Phonegap, JavaScript, CSS, Android and/or iOS native SDKsFluency in French
