Description
Senior RF Design Engineer | Australian Made Communications Technology
Every day across Australia, GME technology is helping people stay connected, stay safe, and get home safely.
From UHF CB radios trusted by four-wheel drivers, transport operators and emergency services, to emergency beacons that play a critical role in search and rescue operations, our products are designed, engineered and manufactured right here in Australia.
For more than 65 years, GME has built a reputation for creating reliable communication and safety technology that performs in the harshest conditions.
We're proudly Australian-owned and one of the few companies in our industry with end-to-end capabilities spanning research, design, engineering, testing and manufacturing.
We're now looking for a Senior RF Design Engineer to join our Engineering team and help shape the next generation of communication and safety products used across Australia and beyond.
Why this role is different
This isn't a role where you'll be designing components that disappear into someone else's product.
At GME, you'll work on complete RF design systems that make it into the hands of customers and are relied upon in real-world, mission-critical situations.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Design and develop RF solutions for market-leading communication and emergency beacon productsInfluence technical direction and product architectureWork closely with electronics, mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teamsTake products from concept through to productionValidate designs using dedicated RF test and development facilitiesContribute to products that have a genuine impact on safety and rescue outcomes
If you enjoy solving challenging RF problems and want to see your designs make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior RF Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, development and optimisation of RF circuits and systems for new and existing GME products.
You'll:
