About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer specializing in Automation with a focus on API Testing to join our dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to work remotely from London, supporting a reputable client in delivering high-quality software products.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our client's systems.
You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate automation seamlessly into the development lifecycle, ensuring rapid and trustworthy releases.
This position is critical in enhancing our testing processes, reducing manual effort, and increasing test coverage through innovative automation solutions.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess proven experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks, particularly in API testing.
Strong programming skills in Java and Python are essential, along with hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies is required to thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Design and evolve comprehensive automation strategies across various product areas, including API, UI, contract, and component testing.
Build, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts that support continuous testing efforts.
Deeply integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, optimizing parallel execution to achieve deterministic and stable results.
Investigate flaky or unreliable tests, identify root causes, and implement solutions to enhance test stability and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex automation failures, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide detailed and meaningful reports that highlight real risks, enabling informed decision-making.
Review automation code for quality, efficiency, and maintainability, mentoring junior and mid-level automation engineers to foster skill development.
Create reusable components, utilities, and libraries to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth, rapid, and secure releases.
Support compliance and security standards related to healthcare data systems where applicable, ensuring all automation efforts align with regulatory requirements.
